There was a huge sewage spill in Dearborn Park in Shoal Creek in the green space area on October 11, 2016. 200,000 gallons were spilled and as of now it is not safe to cross the creek. HOWEVER, stuff flows down hill so the park in the area is safe.  The burst pipe has been repaired and DeKalb County Watershed is waiting for a good heavy rain to wash the remaining sewage away before it is safe to cross the creek again.

Below are a few photos of the area.
